Fill a Court helps tennis players post when they are free and fill the spots in a game. This page explains what we collect, who helps us run the app, and what you can ask us to do with your data.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and password (the password is stored hashed, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the email address and name that provider shares.
- Profile: your username, display name, gender (used to balance mixed doubles) and any photo or details you add.
- Availability and games: the times you are open, the games you post or join, scores, and the chat messages in a game.
- Queue to Play: the times, formats, partners and audience you queue with, and your match history.
- Friends: who you have added and who has added you.
- Clubs: the clubs you join, their chat messages, venues, scores and leaderboard, and the invite codes used to join.
- Reports and blocks: who you block or report, and why, kept so we can moderate. Admins can read reports.
- Devices: push notification tokens for the browsers and phones you turn notifications on for.
- Phone number: only if you turn on text messages, so we can text you about your games. Reply STOP to a text to switch them off.
- Feedback and support email: anything you send through the feedback form or to support@fillacourt.app.
- Errors and abuse limits: basic technical details when something breaks (no IP address or user id), and a short scrambled hash of your IP address that only counts how often you try to log in or sign up, so we can stop abuse.
Who helps us run the app
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
- Vercel: hosting the website.
- Resend: sending and receiving email.
- Twilio: sending text messages, if you opt in.
- Apple and Google: delivering push notifications, and signing you in if you choose Sign in with Apple or Google.
We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Who can see what
Other players can see your username and display name. Your gender is shown on your profile and in games so mixed doubles can be balanced. Your email address and phone number are never shown to other players. Your availability and the games you are in are visible to the friends and players they are meant for. Club members can see the club's chat, scores and leaderboard.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open, including your notifications. Error logs are deleted after 90 days, and abuse-limit counters and email delivery records are short-lived and deleted automatically.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and download a copy of your personal data anytime directly in your account settings under Profile & Settings. When you delete your account, your profile, friendships, availability, notifications, and device tokens are permanently removed, and your upcoming games are cancelled or vacated. For historical game integrity, your past game appearances and chat messages remain under the label "Deleted player". Deleted data rolls out of our database backups within 90 days.
You can also email support@fillacourt.app from the address on your account if you need help or have questions about your data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
